Questions about your Memories?

 

The following is a list of the most commonly asked questions regarding memory preservation and our process.

If there is a question that you do not see but need answered, or if there is an answer you would like more information for, please contact us.


Can a slide show include more than photos?
We can include video, audio, artwork, sketches or anything else that can be scanned. All we need to know is it where you would like it and we’ll take care of the rest. The overall length of the disc cannot exceed 2 hours (120 minutes).

Can I include professional photographs?
Most professional photographs are copyrighted material, with the photographer holding the copyright.  We can scan your professional photos only if you have obtained permission from the photographer. If you need assistance with that please contact us. For further information, please see our terms and conditions.

Can you scan photos in albums or frames?
While it is not recommended, we understand that it may be easier for you to send an album or frame instead of removing those pictures and placing them in the order you wish to have them scanned. In addition, there are instances where you are unable to remove the photos due to age or adhesion. We are more than willing to accommodate those instances; however, we will be required to charge additional handling fees. Please contact us for more information.

Do you guarantee your work?
Absolutely! If at any time you’re dissatisfied with the product you’ve received, contact us immediately so that we can make repairs or restitution. Please see our terms and conditions for more detailed information.

Do you offer any additional services?
If there’s anything that you would like us to do that you do not see offered, feel free to contact us to discuss the opportunity.

How do I pay for my order?
At this time, we accept cash, personal checks and money orders. Our terms for payment are 100% upon completion.

How long will my order take?
Most orders take less than one week from the time we receive them until the time they are shipped back to you. If your project requires additional work, it may extend the turnaround time. We will make every effort to ensure that your wait is minimal and your satisfaction is guaranteed.

How long will you keep a copy of my project?
We will keep a copy of your project and any other files associated with it for a period of one years free of charge. At the end of this time, we will contact you and allow you to decide what the final disposition of our copy should be. Should you wish us not to archive your project, please let us know at the time the order.

How many DVDs/Data discs will my project take?
That depends on the size of your project, be it the resolution of the scans or legnth of the videos, as well as what you want your final project to be. Please contact us for details.

How should I mail my original material?
Your original material should be packaged in such a way that it will not be affected by the elements.  We suggest that after you put the material in the order you wish to have it appear, you place it inside food storage bags that can be sealed.

Is there a limit on the size of the pictures I can send?
No. we can accommodate any size photo you wish to send. It is important that you understand that, in our experience, many of the oversized photos we’ve come across are professionally done (see professional photos FAQ).

What if I don’t want to mail my photos?
We understand that your memories and original materials are priceless. We offer a pick up and delivery service within 25 miles of our facility for a nominal fee. Please call for details.  If you are located outside this radius, you may wish to scan photos and send us a CD or DVD with the images.

What format will my scanned photos be in?
We will scan your photos in JPEG format, unless you request otherwise.

What order should my photos be in?
Your photos should be sent to us in the order that you would like them to appear in the slide show. This ensures your complete satisfaction. Were we to set the order of your photos, there would be no guarantee that our ideas for the slide show would match yours.

What type of photos won’t you scan?
We are unable to scan copyrighted photos or other material (without prior approval), nor are we able to scan material of an inappropriate nature.  If you have questions regarding the acceptability of your material, please contact us.

We are located in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada.

What types of music and can I have with my slide show?
You can decide on whatever style of music you wish to have accompany your slide show. In addition, it can be music that you provide or music that we purchase on your behalf. All of the music used must fall under the fair use provision of music copyright laws.

In addition, we offer easy-listening style, royalty free soundtracks free of charge.

Will my original photos be altered?
We will never alter original material. The only alterations we make are to the digital images, in accordance with your wishes.We will make every effort to improve color and remove any blemishes that the photo may have; however, we will only do so on the scanned image. We hold your original material in the highest regard and would never do anything to alter that.
